Little Free Libraries

There are now five “Little Free Libraries” around Highams Park and a sixth at Oak Hill School.  Set up by ARC members Bea Taylor and Thomas Hardy and painted by local artists they have proved to be a popular addition to the Street Scene, with books being borrowed and replaced on a regular basis.  They were funded by a mixture of Ward Forum funding and book sales at the Farmer’s Market.

Visit a little free library to borrow a book for free!  Please return it later or donate one of your own books instead.

You can find a library in a front garden at:

  • 32 Abbotts Crescent
  • 142 Beech Hall Road
  • 67 Handsworth Avenue,
  • 40 Henry’s Avenue
  • 32 Selwyn Avenue.
