Outdoor Fun at Highams Park Lake this summer with Tinder Sticks


Tinder Sticks is running a fun series of summer Forest School activities for children aged  between 5 and 12 years old at Highams Park Lake over the summer holidays. To find out more and how to book please see below.

Bushcraft Club

  • For 9 – 12 year olds
  • 10am – 3pm
  • 26 & 27 July, 2, 3 & 23 August
  • This summer get back to nature with our Bushcraft Club. Practice skills such as fire lighting, shelter building and whittling. Learn about the natural world around you through Forest exploration, natural plant dyes, learning how to purify water and tree, bird and bug ID.
  • £50 for a block of 2 sessions or £25 a day

Wild Kids (sold out)

  • For 5 – 8 year olds
  • 10am – 3pm
  • 28 & 29 July, 4, 5 & 24 August
  • Drop your children off for a morning of outdoor fun! Bug hunting, den building, poo’s, clues and animal tracking, nature based art, wild games, pond dipping….we’ve got it all!
  • £50 for a block of 2 sessions or £25 a day

Tinder Sticks CIC is a social Enterprise, we are dedicated to getting more people outdoor confident and strive to break down the barriers that prevent people from enjoying the outdoors.

We want to support our local community around Highams Park and thanks to funding from the Woodward Trust and a donation from McRaes Estate Agent’s we are able to offer six fully funded places on the above events for low income families – if you are or know of a family registered with The Hub run by Highams Park Food Aid, Highams Park please pass on our details / get in touch with details of which sessions you would like to attend.
