This year’s Spring Festival will be from 11.30 am until 4.30pm on Sunday 18th May and will be a free to attend family fun day in The Highams Park IG8 9RB (near to Highams Park Lake) .
Please try and walk to the event, as car parking in the stretch of The Charter Road between Falmouth Avenue and Tamworth Avenue will be suspended on the day to prevent traffic congestion and vehicle access to Tamworth Avenue will be closed to non-residents.
As well as a variety of food, drink and craft/gift stalls there will be displays and entertainments with something for all ages including the following:
- Games stalls: coconut shy, hook a duck, kiddies crafting, face painting and similar
- Displays by Coda Falconry at 12.30pm and 2.30pm
- Classic Cars
- Live Music: There will be live music provided by the Harlow Brass Band and by local musicians as background music to add to the ambience of the day (more details to follow soon)
- Essex Ferrets
- Funfair Rides: Small funfair rides for children provided by Bowden’s Circus.
- Chainsaw sculptor: Local chainsaw sculptor, Marshall Lambert, will have an area set aside so people can watch him work from a safe distance. He will also be selling his carvings.
- Maypole and Folk Dancing
- Heale’s Cycles
