Lighting of the Highams Park Christmas Tree & Lighting Up Highams Park

  1. Lighting of The Christmas Tree

You are invited to come down for the lighting of the Christmas tree and some other festive decorations  on Wednesday 1st December at 6.30pm  on the front lawn of Hale End Library at the junction of Castle Avenue and The Avenue.

There will be carol singing by local choir Harmony E4 and, courtesy of Tesco Highams Park , there will be free mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies on offer.

If you cannot make the tree lighting you can listen in on hSpark Radio who will be broadcasting live from the event.

2. Let’s Light  UP Highams Park
Following the success of last year’s lockdown light up, our Events Team thought it would be great to light up Highams Park again with local residents decorating the outside of their homes or gardens with festive lights. You don’t have to go crazy, maybe just a little string of lights, a porch, or a garden display. If you aren’t able to decorate outside, just dress your window with lights or pictures for passers by to enjoy.

Please try to get done by 1st December so we can all turn them on together and enjoy the ambience for a month. If you can’t get it done by the 1st December, no problem, you can join in at any time.

Persuade your neighbours to join in, organise it on one your street’s WhatsApp group. Let’s all join together to make things brighter round Highams Park leading up to Christmas and the New Year.
