Highams Park Food Aid
Highams Park Food Aid, “the Hub”, is looking to recruit two new members to its Management Committee.
The Hub is not simply a food bank: we provide a safe and welcoming space for our beneficiaries via our free cafe and actively engage with them to direct them to sources of advice and help to improve their situation. We also engage with local partners to provide additional wellbeing support such as nutritional guidance via recipe packs, distribution of slow cookers and exercise classes.
We are particularly looking for individuals with experience of:
  • finance and fundraising
  • organising events
  • creating impactful social media content
We also welcome applications from people who have personal experience of food poverty or of using services like the Hub. Your perspective and insight would be invaluable in shaping how we support our community, and we would love to hear from you.
The Management Committee meets monthly on a Monday evening: we are looking for meaningful input to that meeting on your area of expertise and the general management of the Hub, with occasional input outside of the meeting.
