South Riding is a 1938 British drama film directed by Victor Saville and produced by Alexander Korda, starring Edna Best, Ralph Richardson, Edmund Gwenn and Ann Todd. A squire becomes involved in local politics. It was the film debut of a 15-year-old Glynis Johns. It is based on the novel South Riding by Winifred Holtby. At 9.40 am the 17th Pal's Battalion Band will March from the Broadway down Selwyn Avenue to Highams Park Baptist Church on Cavendish Road. The Church Service is from 10 to 11 am and is an 'All Age' service with a St George's Day Parade. After the service, the band will march up Cavendish Road at about 11.15, and then perform a set of marches in front of Tesco between 11.30 and 11.45 am
