Claire Wyer-Roberts’ beautiful exhibition at Humphry’s ran for six weeks from 30th July to 6th September.
It was a beautiful exhibition and included paintings of The Highams Park and the lake, as well as some other lovely subjects. We have included some of the paintings below as a taster.

A little about Claire Wyer-Roberts
“I have lived almost my entire life in and around Highams Park and find it a constant source of inspiration; be it the beautiful forest, the lake or the amazing people that live here. With such a wide variety of subjects and locations to choose from I like to reflect this in the different styles and mediums of my work. I also draw inspiration from the art deco period, in both the paintings and illustrations of people and especially the architecture and how it has artistic quality within it.
Born locally in Walthamstow I have lived within a mile of the Park my whole life. Educated initially at the local Highams Park school, I moved on to study for my art foundation at Epping Forest College.
Upon completing this I was offered a place to read graphic design and animation at Southampton University. After leaving university I worked as a free hand illustrator in a traditional hand drawn animation studio.
I have continued to grow and develop as an artist throughout my adult life and still take great pleasure in working with new mediums and subjects wherever I find them. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have creating it!”
