Waltham Forest u3a is part of a national charity which was founded 40 years ago. We are open to anyone who is no longer in full-time employment who wish to make the most of life by continuing their creative, educational or social interests in the company of others.
Our motto is Learn Laugh Live and we have a variety of interest groups, usually meeting in Group leaders’ homes, ranging from Book Club to Upwords, Walking to Singing, Play reading to Table Tennis and many more, where knowledge is shared and friendships develop. In addition, we have social activities and outings to interesting places.
We meet every third Tuesday of the month at 2.00 p.m.in the hall at Winchester Road Church, Highams Park, E4 9JP to listen to an interesting guest speaker followed by refreshments.
Annual Membership Fee: £20 single member or £32 joint (two members at same address)
Visitors are welcome to our monthly meeting for £2 (refunded if they become members).
