Abstract artist brings eco-conscious art to Highams Park
Local abstract artist Alex Peterken is launching her first solo-exhibition at Humphry’s Café in Highams Park, London this February.
Open to the public, the exhibition will include original artworks, limited-edition prints and cards which will all be available to purchase.
Inspired by her love of fashion and nature, the collection of art ranges up to £250 and a tree will be planted for every sale.
Alex Peterken also known as ‘Ali Makes It’ is hosting her first ever solo exhibition at Humphry’s Café, Highams Park from 26th February to the 19th April 2022. Ali recently went full-time with her art so is ecstatic to say that this is a key milestone in helping to promote her passion and work.
QUOTE from Ali, Artist
“I am so excited to have my first ever solo exhibition and for it to be local to where we now live. Having started my journey as a full-time artist in December, this is a big milestone for me to showcase the art I create alongside my passion for the environment. I feel like my work is unique to what Humphreys Café has exhibited before, so I’m hoping people will love it, support me and the message.” –
Inspired by her love for fashion and nature, Ali offers a distinctive collection of abstract, mixed media original art, fine art prints, cards and commissions; all of which will be on sale at the exhibition. Most of her original artworks use a form of upcycled material within them, taking each step of production from an environmentally conscious point of view. This includes her packaging which is 100% recyclable/biodegradable and her prints/cards which are produced on 100% recycled paper stock.
In addition, for every artwork sold, Ali plants one tree through the Non-Profit organisation One Tree Planted. The public can expect abstract florals and fashion collages which are ready to take home. Moving forward Ali is focusing on her fashion artworks and working on new collections, private commissions and in-person events.
