Online consultation on plans for 179 New Road, E4 9EZ – 10th to 26th June
The site was previously a plant nursery and builders yard and is immediately next to Larks Wood and the adjoining local green space near Chingford Leisure. The location site is marked on the image at the bottom of this page.
The proposals seek to provide:
• 72 new high-quality and energy efficient homes with a mix of 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms in a block of flats between 5 and 7 storeys
• New affordable homes
• Largely car-free scheme with 3 accessible spaces;
• 150 cycle parking spaces;
• Private amenity and children’s play areas and;
• New landscaping provided on site to improve biodiversity, by allowing for the movement of insects, birds, and invertebrates.
Consultation Details:
The online public consultation is being managed by Snapdragon and began on 10th June and will be open until 26th June 2022
Snapdragon are also hosting two virtual town hall events, where residents will have the opportunity to hear more about the proposals and ask questions in real time. These events are taking place on Thursday 16th June 2022 at:
