Some years ago, when Andrew Golds devised a walk following the path of many of the plaques erected at various sites in Highams Park, recognising some of the well-known institutions, personalities and incidents that have occurred over the years.
It is likely that many residents are completely unaware of them or do not recognise their significance.
With the kind permission of Andrew and the Highams Park Society put Andrew’s walk online and added a few new items. This map will help residents and visitors take a walking tour around Highams Park to learn the stories of these plaques and the people behind them.
