Volunteers needed for the Friends of Ainslie and Larks Woods

Ainslie Wood and Larks Wood are situated in Chingford. Larks Wood is the larger of the two woods. It covers two adjacent hills and there are some clearly defined paths.

The Friends Group (FOAL) was formed in December 2004 and they have been looking after our lovely woods ever since, however, they are now very short of volunteers and they aren’t as young as they used to be 2o years on, so they  looking for new volunteers to help them.

FOAL are working in Larks Wood next Sunday (9th March), maintaining glades and paths, and litter-picking, and in Ainslie Wood on Sunday 13th April. April’s session is the start of their summer programme, which focuses on litter-picking as we aim to minimise disturbance during the nesting season.
